This is delicious, very easy, and tastes like American egg nog.
However, the rum was too dominant for our taste. Otherwise, I
would have given it five stars. (I used Haiti's Vieux Labbe rum.)
I had doubled the recipe exactly, for a party. To reduce the rum
volume, I doubled the other ingredients again, which made it
taste just right. I used all organic ingredients, and since it
doesn't contain raw eggs, it seems safer than egg nog recipes. I
would make this in the future instead of buying egg nog.
Since everyone's tastes vary widely, I highly recommend using
only half of the recommended amount of rum, then add to taste.
